The newly launched KNX cable is a 2 pairs cable that is used in KNX system for building control system and intelligent building technology.
KNX is an open protocol that evolved from three earlier standards: the European Home Systems Protocol (EHS), BatiBUS, and the European Installation Bus (EIB or Instabus). It is approved by worldwide standards:
International standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3)
European standard (CENELEC EN 50090 and CEN EN 13321–1)
US standard (ANSI/ASHRAE 135)
China Guobiao (GB/T 20965)
KNX makes the automation dream come true. With KNX system, you can control lighting, shutters, security systems, energy management, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning systems, signaling and monitoring systems, interfaces to service and building control systems, remote control, audio and video control in a simple way, and with low energy consumption.
It is equally well suited to large scale commercial projects as to a residential building. KNX is extremely powerful when interfacing with other systems and protocols as there are many established gateways from a number of suppliers. These include OPC Servers, SCADA, BACnet, DALI and others
Lighting Control
Façade Automation – blinds, solar control, windows, natural ventilation
HVAC
Energy Metering and Management
Security and Monitoring
Audio-Visual Control and Interfacing
Touch Screen and Visualisation Interfaces
IP Connectivity and Remote Access
Interfaces to many other third-party systems and protocols
CEKOTECH KNX cable is specifically designed 4 core cable. It features 20 AWG (0.80mm2) 99.99% high purity OFC (Oxygen-free Copper) conductor. The 4 conductors (red & black, yellow & white) are twisted and wrapped by waterproof film and Aluminum foil, which provides 100% shielding coverage to the conductors. There are two options for jacket: PVC (IEC-60332-1), and FRNC-C. The FRNNC-C version compliant to IEC Flame-Retardant level 60332-2-24, and is Non-Corrosive Low Smoke Zero Halogen, which can be installed in both private and public buildings.
